The departure of the 3rd stage, Les Gets presented by the Caisse d’Epargne Rhône-Alpes was given from the center of the resort. It is under a magnificent sun and snowy forest tracks that the mushers started on the ski area.
This alpine stage of La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc took place on a 33 kilometers long course, with 1470m of positive difference in altitude. The opportunity for the mushers and their faithful companions to take advantage of the beautiful slopes to make the difference on their opponents and express themselves fully by taking speed.
In the Open category, this 3rd stage is won by the French Rémy Coste who also keeps his title in the general classification. He is closely followed by his main competitors: the Germans, Sylvia Ulrich and Heinrich Winter. In the Limited category, it is the French Aurélie Delattre who for the first time wins the first stage followed by the French Cindy Duport and Christian Perlwitz. Cindy Duport keeps the lead of the general classification.
The “Wamine dog Care”, a chasuble given to the musher who has done a good deed with his dogs was given to Stéphane Lépine. The chasuble “Best Nordic of the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes Region” was given to Jean Combazard for the Open category and Grégory Coffre for the Limited category.
Today took place the last stage of the Flexadin Trophy, after 3 days of race on the tracks of the mushers participating in the main race. With almost 100kms covered and 350m of positive difference in altitude, it’s the Swiss Christian Moser who wins the title.
