During 12 days of racing, the mushers and their dogs of La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc will cross about 20 ski resorts spread over Savoie Mont Blanc.
Celebrate the 10th anniversary of “L’Odyssée des Enfants”!
First appeared in 2012, “L’Odyssée des Enfants” (children’s odyssey) will mark its first decade of existence during this 17th edition!
On Sunday 10 January 2021 at Praz-de-Lys Sommand, 21 young mushers from Les Montagnes du Giffre*, previously coached by 3 professional mushers state-certified, will take part in L’Odyssée des Enfants with a team of 3 to 4 dogs over 5km of slopes.
During this day, children will live this unique experience in the same conditions as the professional mushers: same starting and finishing line, same facilities, speaker and spectators.
While waiting for this unforgettable moment, find in pictures a retrospective of the last 9 years… with children realising their dream 🙂
* L’Odyssée des Enfants is the result of a partnership between the organising team of La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc, the French Federation of Sleddog Sports (FFST) and the actors of Les Montagnes du Giffre: the Tourism Office of the Praz de Lys Sommand resort, the Jacques Bel secondary school in Taninges, the André Corbet secondary school in Samoëns.
Devenez incollables sur les maillots spéciaux : présentation du “Wamine Best Dog Care”
At the conclusion of La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc, the “Wamine Best Dog Care” bib is given to one of the mushers, rewarding him/her for the totality of the 10 stages.
