Stage 6 – 15/01/2021 – Pralognan-la-Vanoise

The 17th Edition of la Grande Odyssee Savoie Mont Blanc is on-going with this 6th stage in Pralognan-la-Vanoise. This village in the French Alps with an authentic charm.
Race start was taken for the 20 teams in Pralognan-la-Vanoise. This was a varied race track including nordic and alpine areas.
The mushers and their dogs set off on a 22km course with more than 1,000m of elevation gain. The course started with a long climb to the top of the resort in Ancolie, at more than 2,000 meters of altitude, then they went down to Pralognan-la-Vanoise to begin two loops of 5 kilometres each on the Nordic sector, passing the locality of La Chollière before reaching the start/finish site.
Today’s race conditions have been impacting by fog and continuous snowfalls.
Remy Coste ranks first on the Open category and remains at the top of the overall classification. As to the Limited category, Cindy Duport finishes first for both today’s stage and overall ranking.
