Here we go for another great day, the 17th Edition of La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc as if you were in Praz de Lys Sommand, in Les Montagnes du Giffre.
Everyone arrived early in the morning at Praz de Lys Sommand, a ski resort with a welcoming hospitality. The first stage of this 17th Edition La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc is sponsored by Francodex.
Dogs are at the top of their form. Quite sure they run easily with their amazing “Will to Go” through this nordic stage with an incredible view over the Mont Blanc.
On the start line today, the Trophy Flexadin, first of the 4 Trophees, which will end this coming Tuesday, and then the mushers of the Open and Limited categories, dedicated to more experienced mushers whose departure schedule has been set by the Prologue results.
The stage of the day represents a 38 kilometers course recorded a positive elevation of 1000 meters through a sumptuous landscape. The lead revealed excellent trail conditions.
The AFLD – Anti Doping French Agency – has also realized random testing on 4 dogs of 4 different teams.
About the results and in sporting terms, Remy Coste take the first place of this first stage in the Open category, Aurelie Delattre wined the Trophy Flexadin, and at last Cindy ranked first in the Limited category.
We still have lot of new challenges for the second stage to be hosted in Les Montagnes du Giffre, Grand Massif.
