REGISTRATION

Registration for the 16th edition of La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc opened Tuesday 17 September at noon and had been filled in only 48 hours. This interest delights the organization and proves that this year, as the previous ones, the event will be outsanding! From the 11th to the 22nd January 2020, 55 mushers will take the start of La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc and the 3 trophies: Croquetteland Trophy, Eukanuba Trophy and Caisse d’Épargne Rhône Alpes Trophy.

The pool of mushers

The 2020 edition of La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc will welcome an amazing pool of mushers. The competition promises to be extremely high, perhaps even more than in 2019, when the race has been exciting to follow until the last kilometers of the last stage.

The best teams of European hounds will be present again for the 16th edition. The French musher Rémy Coste, triple winner and title holder, will have a lot to do if he wants to become the first quadruple winner of the race. His runner-up in 2019, Spanish Iker Ozkoidi, is back with last year experience and will be a tough competitor to victory.

Both mushers will face a real German armada: Heinrich Winter and Alfred Ulrich will be back for sure, but there will also be some very experienced rookies, winners of the Alpentrail, such as Volkmar Stuber and Ullrich Kuhn, and other top teams with Detlef Oyen and Winfried Kriegel.

This 2020 edition is also the chance to follow 2 regulars competitors, Czechs Martin Bily and Martin Rehout, who both have already taken place on the podium.

This next edition is also marked by the presence of many teams of Siberian huskies, on La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc and the 3 trophies.
All these teams have already started their training. They have 4 months left to prepare themselves in order to be in the best possible shape for the 16th edition of La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc, from the 11th to the 22nd January 2020.
