Stage 4 – 13/01/2021 – Megève
It was at Cote 2,000, in Megève, that the 29 mushers of La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc and the Trophy France Bleu took the start of this fourth stage. A course of 32-kilometers long and with an elevation gain of 1,200 meters, without any major difficulties, entirely drawn on the cross-country skiing tracks of the resort.
The mushers went through the emblematic Livraz cottage, corssing forest tracks and cross-country ski trails in order to reach Planellet. A loop of 16kms made twice.
Track conditions were satisfying, considering the heavy snowfall yesterday.
Sylvia Ulrich wins the stage of the day in the Open category with only 53 seconds of advance on Rémy Coste. Nevertheless, Rémy Coste keeps his 1st place on the overall classification. Cindy Duport finishes first on this stage as well as on the general ranking in the Limited category. For the Trophy France Bleu, Aurélie Delattre climbs on the first step of the podium.
Moreover, this 4th stage marks the start of the IFSS Sled Dogs World Cup Race, coordinated jointly with the French Sled Sports Federation.
See you on Thursday 14th of January for the race start of the fifth stage in Peisey-Vallandry!
